School Rules
In order to implement our Vision and Mission Statement, the APSAC System expects
high standards of behavior, care and consideration for others from all its members. Each
one of us should seek to set an example to others.
Punctuality
? It is of foremost importance that students come to school on time. Students coming
late will be fined and will not be allowed to join the assembly.
? A habitual late comer might be asked to return home.
Regularity
? Students should not be absent from school except in an emergency.
? Tests must never be missed. Habitual absentees will be awarded a zero. No retest is
allowed under any circumstances.
? A student is not to miss any kind of teaching, games, functions or activity period.
Good Habits and Manners:
? Speak politely and with courtesy and consideration to all members of the school.
? Be as friendly as possible to those who seem unhappy.
? Bullying will not be tolerated at APSAC System.
? Never use aggressive language or behaviour.
? You are an ambassador for our school. Your behaviour, good or bad, reflects on
APSACS.
Personal Hygiene & Uniform
? All students must come to school in proper, clean, school uniform daily, including
functions, as directed by the school administration.
? Students who are untidily/shabbily dressed or not in proper uniform might be fined
/ asked to return home.
? Nails and hair must be clean and trimmed.
? Students are directed to take a bath daily (especially in summers) and use
deodorants / talcum powder.

School Cleanliness
? Students are advised to keep their classrooms and school building clean all the
time. Littering the campus is strictly prohibited. Use of the dustbins is strictly
advised.
School Library
? Students must maintain absolute silence in the library.
? Books other than reference books will be issued for 2 weeks. If the books are returned
late without valid reason the borrowing facility will be withdrawn for 4 weeks.
? Books marked, disfigured or damaged will have to be replaced or paid for by the
borrower.
House System
? There are four Houses in the APSAC System. Every student on admission is placed in
one of these Houses.
? Students from the senior most class will be elected as House Captains for each House.
? One Class Representative will be selected for each House from every section.
? Points are awarded to the students throughout the year for extracurricular activities,
games and sports. At the end of the year the House gaining the highest score is
declared the winner.
APSAC System
Discipline:
? Students must bring the required books and notebooks as per Time Table.
? Students should carry their Diaries to school daily.
? Change of classrooms between periods, if required, should be done in silence.
? Shouting or whistling / use of foul or improper language is not allowed at anytime.
? Hitting, fighting and bullying are a punishable offence.
? APSACS has ZERO tolerance for drugs, possession of weapons and vandalism.
? Students should not damage school property. It is forbidden to write or draw graffiti on
the walls/desks. Damages done even by accident should be reported at once to the class
teacher or to the Principal. The damage to property will be charged to the student
responsible for it.
? Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments to the school.
? Undesirable books (other than text-books or library books), or magazines are not to be
brought to school.
? Lending or borrowing of money and other articles is not permitted
? The school is not responsible for the goods lost. It is advisable not to bring valuable
articles like expensive watches, fountain pens and mobile phones to school.
? The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a
student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory, or whose
conduct is harmful to other students.
? Parents and guardians may not visit their wards or teachers in the classroom without
permission of the Principal.
? Leaving the school premises without permission will result in severe disciplinary action.
? A student who uses unfair means during a test will be awarded a zero in the subject and a
warning letter will be sent to the parents.

Recommendations for Parents
? Check the hair cut, uniform, cleanliness and punctuality of your child in the morning.
? Discourage use of improper language by the child.
? See and sign the Report Cards and promptly return them to the school.
? Shouting or whistling / use of foul or improper language is not allowed at anytime.
? Regularly check the exercise books to keep abreast of a child's daily progress.
? Check the Diary daily to see what homework has been given.
? If lunch box is not provided to the child, his/her lunch money should not exceed Rs 50/-
? Do not send your child to school with oil in his/her hair.

? Inculcate clean and hygienic habits.
? Students must have a balanced diet, nutritionally rich in proteins and milk.
? Drink water which is either boiled or filtered. All students are advised to bring their
own water bottles with them.
? Students should not be allowed to buy ice-cream or other eatables from the road.
? All children under the age of 12 must be de-wormed at least once a year on the advice of
their family physician.
? Get dental and ophthalmic check-ups done once every year by a dental surgeon and
ophthalmologist.

of age, and also to be given if injured

? Should there be any infectious disease in your home please report to the
Principal/Headmistress at once and do not send your ward to school till the infectious
period is over.
? Students suffering from diseases such as Chickenpox, Cholera, Measles, Mumps,
Whooping-Cough and Jaundice must observe the prescribed period of quarantine as
mentioned under the heading “Leave of Absence” in the Diary.
? Students suffering from infectious disease like Conjunctivitis, Dermatitis, Scabies, etc.
should not be sent to school till completely cured.
? Students suffering from chronic diseases like Asthma, Epilepsy, Rheumatic Heart
Disease etc. are advised to be under continuous Medical Supervision of a specialist
doctor. History of their illness, along with the treatment being taken, must be filled up
in the Diary by parents.
